Kowloon means "Nine Dragons". It was originally a famous site for a walled fort. Now it is an urban area in Hong Kong comprising the Kowloon Peninsula and New Kowloon. It is located north of Hong Kong Island across Victoria Harbour.

Kowloon is most popular among tourists because of Tsim Sha Tsui, which means "Elephant's Trunk", located on the southern tip of the city. Tsim Sha Tsui is well known as one of the famous shopping destinations in Kowloon.
